WHEN AND WHERE DOES THE EVENT TAKE PLACE?

THIS IS MY FIRST TIME ATTENDING THIS EVENT.  WHAT INFORMATION DO I NEED TO KNOW?

​

  • This event sells out quickly, purchase your tickets once the website opens.​

  • This event is 21+ only.​

  • If the event is sold out, you can add your name to our waiting list - form can be found HERE.

  • This is a fundraising event, show your support and be ready to participate in the fun.

  • Tickets for drinks, mystery wine grab, heads & tails game and dinner are sold in advance.

WHAT IS THE EVENT AGENDA?

​

  • 5:00 - 7:00 PM cocktail reception featuring games, as well as opportunities to purchase raffle tickets and sign up for parties (i.e. Sign-Up Socials).

  • 7:00 - 10:00 PM dinner featuring our Golden Ticket raffle drawing, Instant Wine Cellar raffle drawing, Live Auction and Paddle Raise.  The evening concludes with dancing and a live DJ!

IF THE CRAB FEED IS SOLD OUT, HOW CAN I SUPPORT THE EVENT?

 

If the event is sold out, you can still be a part of this fun, high-impact event by volunteering​ or making a​donation.

​DO I HAVE TO WAIT IN LINE?

​

If you have already opted in to save your credit card for the day of the event when purchasing tickets, your name tag will be available for you to grab and go!

​If you have not opted to save your credit card information, you will have to wait in line to provide a credit card so that you can buy tickets for drinks, bid on items in the live auction, and donate to the fund-a-need cause with your bidder number. There is still time to avoid the line by pre-registering your credit card

WHERE DO THE PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT GO?

​

This event is the primary fundraiser for all O'Dowd co-curricular activities. This includes clubs, athletics, performing arts, debate, retreats, and more.

​

I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND THE EVENT, MAY I RETURN MY TICKET OR HAVE SOMEONE GO IN MY PLACE?

​

Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable. If you're unable to attend, please contact Tala York  (tyork@bishopodowd.org). You also have the options to:  

​

  1. Donate your tickets to a staff/faculty or coach.

  2. Have another guest attend in your place.  Kindly let us know and we can adjust the guest registration information for a smoother check-in experience.

​

​WILL I NEED A PAPER TICKET TO ENTER THE EVENT?  

​

No, you will receive an email confirmation after purchasing your ticket. If you do not receive a confirmation within an hour of your purchase, contact Luci Hopkins-Nickel 

(lhopkins-nickel@bishopodowd.org). When you arrive at the event, please check-in at the registration table.

​

CAN I BRING MY OWN WINE/BEER TO THE EVENT?

​

We're sorry, but our conditional use permit from the ABC does NOT allow guests to bring their own alcohol to this event. Doing so could jeopardize our ability to hold these events in the future, so please don't BYOB. Not to worry, as we have a large variety of beer, wine and cocktails available that evening.

​CAN I BRING MY OWN BUTTER WARMERS/CANDLES TO THE EVENT?

​

No, the fire department does not allow open flames with our event permit. We will provide warmed butter so you don't have to worry about melting your own.

​

​I RESERVED DRINK TICKETS AND A MYSTERY WINE BOTTLE FOR DINNER.  WHERE DO I RETRIEVE THOSE?

​

Your drink tickets will be enclosed in your name badge for pick up when you arrive.  For pre-purchased wine, for your mystery wine bottle, you are able to select your bottle in the designated area inside the Knauss Gym.

​

​HOW DO I GET A BIDDER NUMBER?

​

You will receive your bidder number when you check in at the event. To speed up your check-in process, please make sure your credit card is pre-registered.

​

​ARE TABLES PRE-ASSIGNED?

​

Yes! Along with your bidder number you will receive an assigned table number.  Table assignments will be completed by March 1, and we will no longer able to accommodate special seating requests.

​

WHAT IF I HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?

​

Please contact crabfeed@bishopodowd.org with any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate you.

​

​CAN I StILL PURCHASE DRINK TICKETS OR WINE FOR THE TABLE?

​

Once pre-sales of drink tickets and pre-sales of wine bottles has closed, drink tickets and wine bottles will be available for purchase at the event.

​

CAN MY STUDENT ATTEND THE EVENT WITH ME?

​

NO, this event is open to guests 21 and over only. No minors are allowed.

​

​​HOW CAN I SET UP A GROUP TABLE OR SIT WITH MY FRIENDS?

​

Group seating is available during the online registration process.  Once registration has closed, we are no longer able to accept seating or table placement requests.

​

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE CRAB FEED?

​

Think casual and relaxed. You may get a little messy. It is a Crab Feed after all!  However, festive & fun attire encouraged!  Our theme for 2025 is the California Crab Shack (Bay Area meets SoCal Boho).

​

WILL I BE ABLE TO PARK ON SITE?

​

There is limited on-site parking. We encourage everyone to carpool with a designated driver or use a rideshare service to attend this event.
